<p>Nasirun was born&nbsp;in Cilacap, Central Java in 1965.<br />He studied at the Indonesia Fine Art Academy (ASRI), Yogyakarta. The talented painter has won many prizes for best sketches and paintings from ASRI. <br />In 1997 his work was selected as one of the five best paintings by Yayasan Seni Rupa Indonesia - Phillip Morris Indonesian Art Awards, and entered for the ASEAN Art Award in Manila, Philippines.&nbsp;He joined the Singapore Art Museum's Soul Ties Exhibition and almost every auction house in Jakarta and Singapore.</p>
