<p>Jeihan was born in Solo, Central Java, in 1938.<br />He studied at the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB). He uses dark shapes for eyes and a limited palette of monochrome in depicting his abstracted figures. <br />He outraged fellow artists due to his outrageous pricing and yet his collectors still purchase his paintings. Together with Dr. Sudjoko, in 1978 he established Studio Seni Rupa Bandung (Bandung Fine Art Studio). <br />He is a member of the World Art and Culture Exchange Association based in New York, U.S.A. A couple of books have published on the artist.</p>
