<p>I Made&nbsp;Djirna&nbsp;was born in Kadewataan, Bali in 1957. He tudied at the Fine Art Institute of Indonesia (ISI), Yogyakarta and became a member of Sanggar Dewata Indonesia Kelompok Tujuh. He received the Lempad Prize and Pratisara Affandi Adhi Karya. A very versatile artist, his works range from pure abstraction to simplified figures inspired by primitive arts. His works have been auctioned and he has participated in International exhibitions at The Northern Territory Museum of Art and Sciences, Darwin, Australia (1989), Museum fur Volkerkunde Basel, Switzerland (1993, 1995-1996) and at the Soul Ties exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum (1994 &amp;1999).</p>
