<p>Dirot was born born in Indramayu, West of Java, in 1972.<br />He first studied painting from Sudarso (one of the well-known senior artists in Indonesia) and later moved to Bali to sharpen his talent from Balinese SeniorArtists. His works portray the daily life of Indonesian people in his own perceptions and his technique is quite different from the art style favored among his peers. He has been active in many solo exhibitions since 1994.</p>
